Now we hit upon the core of my creative existence.
Writing/composing music is my greatest passion.Nothing fulfills me more than creating what i regard as a great piece of music.
My style is as varied as the mood i,m in at the time.I am never confined to any one particular genre.I love them all
Writing is a very spiritual experience for me.
Most of my best work has come from dreams or out of the invisible realm of who knows where imagination springs from.
As for my influences , hmmmmmmmm probably every song i have ever heard has inspired me to go in a certain direction in regards to my writing style so i bless them all.
Yet the songs that have truly moved me all share common elements within them.
Firstly i like catchy songs.
Call me old school but i love songs that you can hum along to the next day.Songs that the lyrics are not only clearly audible but mean something.
It seems all classic songs are songs that you can remember, if not all the words, at least the melody line from start to finish.Now thats something i aspire to.
I want a song to move me in some way.To have an affect on my emotions.Humorous music has its place, for laughter is great for the soul, so i do a bit of comedy relief stuff.Yet my personal favourite is powerful music.
I call it goosebump music.Music that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you feel a quickening of the skin.
Its dynamic and has rising action.
I also love the poetry behind the music.I love lyrics that have substance , it can be about love(most songs are) but as long as there is some original angle the writer is coming from.
I get such a buzz from playing my own stuff especially when the crowd is digging it as much as i am digging singing it.If i can get them feeling what i am feeling from the song my work is done.
